I am so thankful for this wonderful country I get to live in. The things that make it less than pleasant (politics mostly) are easily handled with the remembrance of how great this land is.
We had some fun family filled activities planned for the weekend, but an earache had us postpone those plans. Instead we are having a mini celebration with just the three of us. Mr. Llama made some delicious stuffed meatball sandwiches and I made some yummy potato salad. Katie didn't make it past 9pm, so no firework viewing for us. We sure heard all the various loud booms and fire trucks going by and hoped all our friends and family were safe. I wasn't sure how KB would sleep with all the noise, but she did really well.
Mr Llama and I have determined that it is simply not the fourth without BBQ. We have set a goal that we will have a grill before next year's Independence day and have the party at our place!
