I have an unhealthy fear of swimming and I really dislike group exercising. Last night I attempted to conquer both the fear and dislike by going to a water aerobics class with a friend.
I got into a swimming suit (which seriously is an accomplishment by itself), I got into the water (ginormous accomplishment here), and I did the class with 10 other women (yeah me).
Although I couldn't do all the exercises due to my intense fear of floating I was able to do most of them and I am sore enough today to know I got a good workout in.
I am very proud of myself! Granted it has taken me years to get up the nerve to try water aerobics(or even get in a pool), but I did it! And I'm even going back next week! I'm determined to get through my floating fear and this seems to be a good way to do that. (you may think I'm joking or exaggerating, but I'm really not. It's bad)
I guess I realized that if I could have a baby then I could get through a water aerobics class.
