This morning brought some disappointment. My body is giving me signs that I've overworked myself and need to slow my workout process down.
Sigh.
I guess that means no workout today. Funny how that makes me a little sad. I was just getting to the point where I actually enjoyed working out.
Weird.
Maybe I can get a very small workout in... or maybe I should listen to what my body is saying and take it easy today.
Oy.
I need a book to read.
yes, dear, make sure that you keep your body safe! Having a baby is a BIG TALL on the body :) And even if you feel grand, it still needs time to recoup. THe best exercise - I kid you not - walk with the baby in the stroller or sling! And for a while. I love it. Go fpr 2-3 hours! you'll love it : one, every mom needs a break. chores can weight, there is nothing more important then you and your baby. And then.. the baby is going to get fast SOON, so enjoy while she's little. I also love walking - it's mind clearing. I can think, pray, listen to music ( actually, all of the above :)) , and get creative and plan effectively, so no time is passed in vain :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how enjoyable moving can be? I exercised faithfully everyday for months, and then my semester got too busy, and I was surprised at how much I missed exercising! I agree with Olya though-- it's important to listen to your body, and recognize that there are lots of degrees of physical activity, and just because you might do a little less, it doesn't ever mean it's useless. Let yourself work into a routine that's best for the body and the mind. :)
