Housing
We had tried to rent a cute little house before I arrived in CO, but the owner was being a bit ridiculous about paperwork, deposits, painting over the colorful walls, etc that I was nervous about signing anything with them. We did find a slightly huger house (2200 sq ft) plus shop for only a tiny smidgen more and located in a tad larger town down the road.
We moved in on Friday only a day after arriving in town. I love the space and find myself slightly overwhelmed with trying to find a spot for everything. I'm so used to cramped space that I'm not sure how to spread out. I think I'll adjust just fine though. :)
KB loves the vast space to run and run and run.She especially loves going up and down the stairs!
We had a fun full week of unpacking boxes and exploring the town. More on that later.
I'm learning to shovel snow and sweep off porches and be a full time mama. It's hard work adjusting to a life of housewife and mama...... I'm excited about our new adventure here in CO, but aware that it will take some adjusting mindset and attitude on my part.
The weather is beautiful and cold. I don't realize how cold it is because the sun is out and gorgeous! My nose and hands quickly tell me how below freezing it is once I get outside. I got a nice pair of gloves and KB learned to wear her gloves after a face plant in the snow. It HURTS your skin to warm up after that! It's been an interesting bit getting used to the cold and snow and we are still adjusting.
Overall we love our new adventure here and are so thankful we were able to find such wonderful housing!
