Mr. Llama, KB and myself took a lovely trip over to Montana for an extended weekend. We left bright and early Friday morning and after a few throw up messes from KB we had a nice long drive to Missoula, Montana. We were able to see almost all of Mr. Llama's side of the family. KB was her regular shy self for some of the time, but mostly a ball of energy. She enjoyed seeing her own age cousins and eating late night popcorn to her hearts content.
We would have enjoyed the visit so much more if the reason hadn't been so sad. We were there to support Uncle P and Aunt A in the loss of 19 yr old JP. The circumstances of death were difficult and beyond heartbreaking painful to imagine going through. My heart still aches for their loss and the circumstances surrounding. I heard other family members say the funeral was a nice closure to everything. I pray it was especially for P and A.
The drive home was completely uneventful and KB was even more wonderful riding back. Mr. Llama made excellent time and we arrived home before expected. It seems so odd how life continues on and the world keeps spinning even though a family's world has been permanently altered. I do have a testimony that we continue on after we die. I know that we will have the opportunity to see JP again and let him know how much he was missed and is loved.
What a nice post. So glad you made the trip, I know how hard that is.
