We have beautiful crazy weather here! The sun is almost always shining, but hides a couple times a day to let some thunder and rain come down. It's actually quite an odd thing to get used too. I'm used to it raining all day or being sunny all day... not sun, rain, snow, and wind all in one day.
KB and I are trying to figure out how to occupy our time all day. My goal is no tv while the sun shines, but that rarely happens. It's my weak spot that I'm trying to strengthen. KB loves books and the library. We have started going to a neighboring story time and she seems more comfortable with those kids. I prefer our local storytime reader, but am fine with going down the road if it means that KB will interact with other children. We usually all head to the park afterwards for an hour or two of playtime.
We seem to have hit a bump when it comes to walks. KB used to LOVE walking, but have recently taken a stance on no walks. We are trying to work through it and get back to being outside more. On the warm sunny days (which is more and more frequent. Thank you Spring!) I fill up a cooler with water and we play in the driveway with water and toys. Bubbles also are a common occurrence in our driveway. We have no grass, so the driveway sees all the play action. Grandpa JP has a large grassy yard 12 miles down the road that we have used a couple times to play in. KB loves to kick and throw the ball around and just run in the grass. I'm sensing a lot of summer play will happen in that yard.
We are all healthy and generally happy. I'm thankful for my blessed life. I know it's far from perfect, but it suits me perfectly. Mr. Llama works so hard for us and I love him all the more for his sacrifice. KB and I are blessed to have such a hard working man in our life. As difficult as it may seem some days, I'm grateful for this time that I get to spend with KB. I'm lucky to have such a beautiful Spring time to enjoy!
