Katie had the opportunity to have some playtime with a boy her age yesterday. She was so happy to have a fellow crawler around the house and even gave him the full tour of the carpet and into the kitchen. Katie was happy to share all her toys, except her beloved frog. She showed off the cool rings around the frog and then threw it behind her. I'm not sure what would have happened if there had been further interest in the frog......
The bottle feeding mystified Katie, but kept her amused enough to delay her own feeding time. She would look at the bottle then gave me the "what in the world" look. It was very amusing.
I did discover how very petite my little girl is. Her short little legs make her look so small next to babies her age. Hopefully she will get a growth spurt soon.
The only downside to the playtime was that the other baby was sick and I wasn't informed of this fact before hand. I discovered the sick germs once the parents left and both babies were playing happily together. I was not amused at being left with a sick baby, but there was little I could do at that point. Katie is now sick and I am dealing with all that comes with her cold. I love that Miss Katie had so much fun playing. I wish getting sick wasn't the result.
Oh Kay... sorry to hear about Katie's cold...it seems like we can't even go to church without Lucas bringing something home. I always try to put it in perspective, but reminding myself how ill he would be ALL the time if he was in childcare. So at least we have that.
