I've never been a fan of the whole valentine holiday. In recent years I've grown more tolerate of it and scaled back my protests to a minimum. This year I have a husband to celebrate the day with and although I love my husband very much I'm finding that I'm still not huge on the happy valentine thing.
Last night Mr. Llama came home with a beautiful bouquet of purple and white flowers. (I'm not a fan of roses and somehow my darling hubby knew that). He also made me a yummy dinner that Kidney Bean let me enjoy and keep down. The flowers were a splurge, but making me dinner is something that Mr. Llama does quite often.
How happy I am that the man I married knows me so well and doesn't need a holiday to treat me extra special. He would spoil me every day if I would let him. I hope he knows how special he is to me and how absolutely much I love him.
Maybe as the years go by I will put more effort into celebrating Valentine's day.... I don't think so, but I'll leave it open for reflection.
