Some days we go through life dealing with sick germs (everyone has a cold at the house), mice (oh yeah, they are back), crickets (as if mice weren't bad enough on their own), and all the other day-to-day stuff until something happens. We stop to catch our breath and take stock. The "something" happened last night.
I'm always thankful for my family and their health and safety. Last night, I said an extra prayer of thankfulness for our health, safety, and family. Yes, life doesn't always go how we want it. Yes, life can be hard some days. I'm still so thankful for my life.
I know that my family is sealed for time and all eternity. We can be together FOREVER. Not just while we are breathing and living here on earth, but after we die we can still be a family unit. We will know each other and have our personalities. I'm so grateful for my testimony of this fact. It makes those breath-catching moments go smoother... Breath still catches, but there is an eternal perspective that reassures and comforts.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family affected from last night's moment. My prayers are with my family that God will continue to bless us with safety and health. I've taken my deep breath of the day and will now go back to dealing with colds, mice, and crickets. May God bless you and yours.
