I am still trying to find a way to bake in this high mountain area. I found a cooking book specifically for altitudes over 7,500 feet at the library and tried the bread recipe today.
Fail.
The bread didn't rise an inch. Yes, the yeast was good.
I'm starting to think I can't bake anymore. Maybe it has nothing to do with altitude and everything to do with me.
Sigh.
The pork and veggie stew was a success. At least there was that.
