We finally enjoyed a Holiday Saturday on the 15th! (the previous two Saturdays being spent sick at home) KB and I ventured into the pouring rain to pick out a tree. We managed to get a tiny baby perfect tree for our small space. Stopping at Goodwill for some last minute looking Katie picked out some Christmas bells. I normally do not indulge the toy at the store thing, but she was very patient and I was in a good mood.
We trudged back to the car and drove home to set up our sweet tree. KB rang her bells the whole way home while also shhh'ing them. It was hilarious and gave me a moment to enjoy her spunky fun personality. We got the tree set up and decorated. KB was enamored with the lights and insists on turning them on at all times.
We then emptied out our space a little more by selling some items and packed up to go do some baking. Our day was several hours behind "schedule" due to the buyers being late, but I enjoyed the extra moments of KB time. She has a wonderful fun personality that only a few get to see because of her shyness.
Before we could complete our trek over to a friends for our annual holiday baking, we stopped at several stores in search of gumdrops. Never finding any we went to the baking spree without. The husband of the friend was kind enough to continue the search for gumdrops. Between the two of us 6 stores were searched. He finally found some before I packed up and left for the evening. KB was being her usual shy self and stayed in the kitchen with us while we baked. It's always a treat to hang out with this friend whom I hardly see enough. And now to pass out the yummy treats we made!
