Thanksgiving

Katie and I ventured out to Idaho for a Thanksgiving weekend. The drive there was peaceful albeit long. Katie did amazingly well for her first long car ride. The weather was cold cold cold. Poor KB was wrapped in blankets every time we went down to the apartment (which is just a tiny walk down the front stairs and around the corner). Once inside the temperature was warm and comfortable.
The main reason for going to Idaho was for KB to meet her great grandma. Which she did and they both loved the visit. G.G. was very happy to meet KB and KB was happy to entertain. :)
Thanksgiving dinner was yummy. My mom and I, with the help of Mary made a delicious spread and I must say I made the most delicious pies. Nah, I'm not shy about my baking skills. :) We missed Mr. Llama the entire time and made sure to call at least twice a day. KB LOVED hearing her papa's voice. She would get a huge smile on her face and start grabbing for the phone. She would then talk and smile and smile and talk to her Papa's voice. It was the sweetest thing to watch!
We made the trek back and KB was not very happy about being in the car again. She was okay on the ride back, but did scream for about an hour... or so. It was wonderful to see Mr. Llama again and Katie was elated to be home.
